The Company
EcoWise was founded in 2016 in London, United Kingdom for the delivery of close to market digital services developed by Ekodenge (ekodenge.com). EcoWise builds upon 24 years of experience in consultancy, research and engineering services, shaped around the vision of environmental sustainability, circularity and related EU policy.
Ecowise’s ambition is to improve sustainability in urban ecosystems by continuing to develop smart analytics and cloud-based software solutions. The company’s expertise covers building energy management, environmental impact accounting, construction and demolition, urban metabolism, life cycle analysis, and circularity assessment. EcoWise has a wide cooperation network, serving customers such as framework organisations, public & governmental bodies and private enterprises.

Our Team
Emre Yontem
Emre is a senior expert in energy and environment focused data analytics, modelling, digital twin architectures and decision support services. He holds a master’s degree in Information Technologies and has been working as a technical expert and coordinator in international research and consultancy projects in both Turkey and the UK for a number of years. He is the CTO and director of EcoWise and sits on the Ekodenge board.
Dr. Rembrandt Koppelaar
Rembrandt is a senior expert in Circular Economy, Economics, Modelling, environmental material/product assessment, and techno-economic analysis. He holds a PhD degree from Imperial College London’s Centre for Environmental Policy and is experienced in leading work packages in large EU projects. He also has published two books and several articles about the future of energy, materials, society, technology, and the circular economy.
Seda Yontem
Seda is the Lead Architect at Ecowise and is an expert on sustainable building design. Seda has more than 18 years of professional experience in applied architecture and project management focusing on energy-efficient and environmentally friendly buildings and cities and on research and innovation projects funded by EU, UNDP and WB in EU, China, Vietnam and Azerbaijan. She is also the founder and manager of Ekodenge’s architecture group in Turkey.
Agnese Riccetti
Agnese Riccetti holds a MSc in Architecture Engineering. From 2008 she has been working on research projects in the built environment or architecture design services, mainly in bid writing and coordination and management of projects. She has senior experience in project management of CR&D projects funded by the H2020 Programme and UK innovation funds. She works as PMO Manager, supporting the management of EU projects for the company.
Adeel Ahmed
Adeel Ahmed comes with over 10 years of experience in project management and change management within complex operational organisations. He is helping EcoWise to develop the company operational and PMO framework. With precious experience in designing and launching disruptive products, delivering innovative solutions in fields of Actuarial Science in banking, insurance, and aviation sector. Adeel will continue to help EcoWise deliver projects in sustainability sector.
Pritpal Dhaliwal
Pritpal Dhaliwal comes with over 15 years people management experience within the estate and retail sectors. She holds a BA in Business Management and Urban Development from the University of Westminster. She works at EcoWise as the PMO Assistant supporting the development of the company’s operational and PMO framework. Pritpal has previous experience of working in a multifaceted environment whilst managing conflicting priorities.
Hyunji Cho
Hyunji Cho holds a PhD degree from University College London for Urban Planning. She has worked on various urban research projects on community participation, ethnic minorities, and gender issues in the UK and South Korea. Before joining EcoWise, she has taught international planning, participatory planning, and urban politics in both BSc and MSc courses at the Bartlett School of Planning. She is supervising MSc students at the Bartlett regularly. She also has published research papers about ethnic and gender equality in urban planning.
Emily West
Emily is an expert in risk, and is interested in both the physical and social science sides of natural hazards and climate change. She works at EcoWise on digital tools for hazard risk reduction and urban environmental planning. She holds an MSc in Risk and a BSc in Geography from the University of Durham and works on EcoWise’s portfolio of urban analytics projects.
Diya Salhab
Diya holds a BSc in Geography from King’s College London. She is interested in waste management and plastic pollution in coastal areas. She supports the circular economy projects at EcoWise with research and analysis, and works on building EcoWise’s portfolio of circular economy projects.
Natalie Monteiro
Natalie holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science with a focus in Sustainable Development, from the University of Southampton, UK. She has worked on various waste management projects in the UK and the Middle East and has also co-authored a published research paper focused on electronic waste. She works as a circular economy analyst at EcoWise.
Srinivasa Pamidi
Sri holds a master’s degree in Renewable energy systems design and modelling. He has more than 8 years of project management and coordination experience in R&D projects under EU and national research programmes. Before joining EcoWise, he worked on several research projects in the Circular Economy domain, energy systems design, and smart rail automation for Network Rail UK and Exergy. He manages the CircThread project at EcoWise and works on building the circular Economy projects portfolio.
